FAQs

See below a list of our most frequently asked questions about converting your garage. If you have any further question feel free to contact us.
How much will my garage conversion cost?

Some simple conversions can cost as little as £5500+VAT, but it is hard to say how much it is without visiting the proposed conversion and taking into consideration customer's requirements.

When can you start?

Once you are happy and want to proceed we will arrange a start date that suites you.

Do I have to deal with the council?

No. We deal with all the paperwork for you. This includes submitting your drawings and warrant documents and fees. We will also inform the building standards when your job commences. We will complete the CCNP (Construction Compliance and Notification Plan) so that every stage of your work is verified. This essential process removes any unnecessary inspection works at a later stage.

Does Convert A Garage have insurance?

Yes. We have public liability cover as standard.

How long does a garage conversion take?

We would normally complete a single garage conversion within 2 weeks with bathroom, kitchen and double garage conversions being slightly longer more.

Why should I convert my garage?

The average loft conversion and basement conversion is around £750 to £1400 per square meter. A garage conversion is around £330 to £660 per square meter that is a huge difference. Your garage is probably sitting full of junk being used as a storage space at the moment.

If this sounds familiar, then it makes sense to convert your garage. For a fraction of the cost of moving to a bigger house, you could convert your garage into anything you want. Adding an extra room to your home will increase its value well over the value of a garage. So what are you waiting for? normally complete a single garage conversion within 2 weeks with bathroom, kitchen and double garage conversions being slightly longer more.
